Brazil’s captain Giba is still trying to get back into his best shape after his recovery from a stress fracture that required surgery on his shin. “I’m feeling better every week. I’m no longer uncomfortable and I’m risking a few jumps. Now I have to seek the best game condition, but with no hurry, so we don’t damage the whole recovery process. The most important thing is being able to be in the World League finals, where all the teams should go with full force. It will be a good parameter for what lies ahead in the Olympic Games”, explained Giba.
Murilo will also stay at home during this first leg of the competition due to pains in his right shoulder, but both FIVB Heroes will keep training – separately – at the Brazilian Training Center in Saquarema, Rio de Janeiro.
Stay tuned to see when the Brazilian stars return to the court for maximum action again!
