Rouzier aims to meet his Hero in London!

The 25 year old French opposite spiker shared with us his plans for this summer…and beyond. He has already signed with his current club, Zaksa Kędzierzyn-Koźle in Poland, for another two years “This season I felt very good with this club. We had hard times due to injuries and problems, but at the end we gained the playoff and even though we didn’t win, third place was still a great success. In Poland volleyball is followed by an incredible number of people.  I like the atmosphere, and that’s why I decided to stay there for another two years”.

There is no time to relax for our FIVB Hero following the club season, as the National Team called him up for the World League starting this week. “We know it’s going to be hard, but we are also training hard in order to be ready. We have to be very focused on our goal which is the qualification for the finals in Bulgaria, so every day, every match is important for us. We can do it!”

This summer there are also the Olympics in London. “We have all the chances to get a spot for the Olympics, and need to keep our dream alive till the very end, because we want to be among the best National Teams in the world like Italy, Russia, Brazil and Poland. My personal volleyball hero is Giba, and it would be great to meet him in London.”

Antonin also told us what it means to him to be an FIVB Hero: “I am really honoured and happy to be one of the FIVB Heroes, I can feel the support of my fans that I couldn’t believe was so strong! Also I found out that among the heroes there was also Giba. I couldn’t believe that I was chosen in the same group because I grew up watching him on tv, and now I can say that we are both part of this wonderful project!”

Sometimes dreams come true and if Antonin could dream about the Olympic final this summer…”It would be amazing if it were say France and Brazil. I want to play with my hero Giba once again and his amazing team.”

Good luck Antonin, we hope your dreams come true!
