Russians on track for London

The Russian team are on top of the table with 12 points; they won the last 4 matches without dropping a set. Their remaining matches will be against Serbia tomorrow, Japan on Saturday and Chinese Taipei on Sunday. Will our hero Gamova lead Russia to London?

Japan is in 2nd position with 9 points, they will play Cuba next, and then Russia.  Serbia is right behind Japan, also with 9 points but with a lower win-loss ratio. Serbia will take on Russia follow by Peru. Their final match will be against Japan in the tournament finale on Sunday. Can Takeshita and Kimura fulfil their Olympic dream again?

Cuba is currently in sixth position. Can they turn it around?  After the match against Japan, they will play Chinese Taipei and Thailand.

Hero Kim Yeon-Koung racked up a tournament-high 34 points to beat Japan in 4 sets yesterday, keeping Korea in fourth position. Korea will play fifth ranked Thailand next, a critical match for both teams. Followed by Chinese Taipei and Peru.  Peru and Chinese Taipei are sitting in the bottom of the table and are unlikely to make it to London.
